Advanced Networking is Creating an Internet of Warfighting Effects

Mustering a Well-Connected Unborn
To make IoT a reality, the DoD is presently bearing several pivotal drives with pains called Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2 JADC2) sitting at the center.
“ JADC2 aims to connect platforms and detectors from all military services — Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, and Space Force — into a single network, accessible by all services, ” explained Bruce Swett, a Northrop Grumman Fellow in NISD. “ The intention is to take the mass-market model of the Internet — the network, the computing, the AI — and bring it to warfighters so that they can get better information faster and make better diagnoses with a more complete understanding of what’s going on around them. ”
The IoT could also be used in convergency with data analytics to presage the preservation necessaries of a line of military vehicles, which would reduce costs, increase the emptiness of these platforms and keep the military safe, he added.
“ The major services are contributing to JADC2 by developing their own correlative advanced networking aggressiveness to link detectors and aegis systems across the desirable battleground, ” explained Colin Phan, director of strategy for Northrop Grumman’s Networked Information Answers Division (NISD NISD). Phan noted. These exertions include theU.S. Air Force’s Advanced Battle Management System, the theU.S. Army’s Project Convergence, and theU.S. Navy’s Project Overmatch.
