 South Korea Broadband Firm Sues Netflix After Traffic Surge From' Squid Game' 

 SEOUL (Reuters Reuters)-South Korean Internet service provider SK Broadband has sued Netflix to pay for costs from increased network marketplace and preserving work because of a wave of spectators to theU.S. house's content, an SK prophet said on Friday. 

 The move comes after a Seoul court said Netflix should " nicely " give the object in return to the internet service provider for network play, and multiple South Korean solons have spoken out against content providers who don't pay for network play despite generating explosive marketplace. 

 Netflix said it'll review SK Broadband's claim, and seek the dialogue and explore ways in the meantime to work with SK Broadband to ice patrons aren't affected.

 But the Seoul Central District Court ruled against Netflix in June, saying that SK is seen as feeding " a service fed at a cost " and it's " reasonable " for Netflix to be " constrained to feed entity in return for the service ". 

 SK estimated the network employment charge Netflix claimed to pay was about27.2 billion won ($22.9 million) in 2020 alone, the court document said. 

 Netflix has appealed against the ruling, court records showed, with fresh proceedings to start in late December. 

 Netflix said in a statement on Wednesday that it contributed to the creation of about jobs in South Korea stemming from about 770 billion won in investments, as well as a juicy effect of about5.6 trillion won. 

 Ruling party Solon Kim Sang-hee said on Wednesday that out of South Korea's top 10 data trade instituters,78.5 of the trade came from foreign content providers, up from73.1 a stretch anteriorly, with " Google-YouTube and Netflix that regard for the maturity turning a visionless eye to network play prices ".
